    • Water – 350 ml,
    • Lemon – 1 whole, thinly sliced,
    • Ginger root – 1 inch of freshly grated ginger, (alternatively you can use 1 tsp. of ginger powder)
    • Turmeric – ½ inch of freshly grated turmeric, (alternatively you can use 1/4 tsp. of turmeric powder)
    • Black pepper or cayenne – a pinch
    • Honey (optional) – 1-2 tsp.

    How to Make it?

    Bring water to a boil. Turn off the heat and add in all other ingredients (except honey). Let the ingredients settle in hot water for around 30 minutes. Strain and enjoy. You can add honey at this point. If you like it cold, you can refrigerate the drink, and you can also reheat it if you like it hot. Make sure you don’t boil it again.

    It’s best to consume this drink first thing in the morning, but you can continue to sip it throughout the day.

    Ginger Ale

To prepare this drink, you will need ginger juice, sugar, lemon juice, water, soda, and a few mint leaves. The key is to prepare the ginger syrup.     Preparing Ginger Syrup

    You will need one part of peeled and chopped ginger and one and a half parts of water. Let ginger cook in the water in a small saucepan for around 45 minutes. Remove from heat and let steep for another 30 minutes. Strain the mixture and discard the pulp.

    You can then return this liquid into the saucepan and add in one part of sugar and a pinch of salt and let the liquid cook until the sugar dissolves.

    To prepare two cups of ginger syrup, you will need,

    • 1 cup peeled and chopped ginger,
    • 1 ½ cups of water and
    • 1 cup sugar.

    • Juice of one lemon,

    How to Make it?

    • Add in apple, ginger, lemon juice, and water and blend all the ingredients nicely.
    • Use a large metal strainer and strain the puree. (you can use cheesecloth instead of a strainer)
    • Press the mixture and get the maximum juice and discard the pulp.
