Ingredients
- Water – 350 ml,
- Lemon – 1 whole, thinly sliced,
- Ginger root – 1 inch of freshly grated ginger, (alternatively you can use 1 tsp. of ginger powder)
- Turmeric – ½ inch of freshly grated turmeric, (alternatively you can use 1/4 tsp. of turmeric powder)
- Black pepper or cayenne – a pinch
- Honey (optional) – 1-2 tsp.
How to Make it?
Bring water to a boil. Turn off the heat and add in all other ingredients (except honey). Let the ingredients settle in hot water for around 30 minutes. Strain and enjoy. You can add honey at this point. If you like it cold, you can refrigerate the drink, and you can also reheat it if you like it hot. Make sure you don’t boil it again.
It’s best to consume this drink first thing in the morning, but you can continue to sip it throughout the day.
Ginger Ale
